A Reason for Happiness

There is always a reason to feel happy at Christmas

cause with HIS birth,we are allowed to have hopes, at least a hope for a salvation

And the eternal kids-story of Santa Claus

is (a symbol of ) our belief (and hope) in miracle,

which sometimes for only simple matters

yet often, we are too "afraid" to make a hope to HIM

because we have no that "great belief" in miracle HE might give

as children have in Santa Claus

Who does not expect miracles, anyway

in these ups and downs of life?

So, be thankful

if we've got chance, to have THIS Christmas

If you've once experienced the pride of being a winner,

will you also think that keep yourself in that place is going to be harder

than the time you reached it?

It won't be easy, either

realizing we have been a loser

Being a loser is a sort of failure-for most of us (while actually this is not true)...

yet, will you think that it is only one step ahead to come to a great success?

So...will you stop just for the failure?

or...

you prefer..

to keep moving on...

dare to fail, to reach the success...

That way....you will become a true winner...

True winner is the one who...

realizes his failure today as the key to the success tomorrow

knows his failure is the chance given by God to get improved

notices his failure is the precious time to learn more from others

believes his failure is the golden gate opened by HIM to be a true winner

means....no cheating, no unfair actions.....just TRUE

True winner is the one who...

--when the time comes--when he becomes the winner

he will say....

"I am not the winner right now....You, what people might call as losers--you are the winners, as you feel just as proud as the winner, cause you've done the best of you and never get despair because of it--yes, you are the true winners!With that spirit deep in your heart...trust me, the first place is only a step ahead...each time you lose the game and keep fighting again(and again)...."

Sometimes, the foreign language itself has been complicated to the learners,
so it's just no use to force students reading difficult passages before they are ready for it...
having easy and full of fun materials will be helpful enough..

Life and education are complicated.The ideas for them will never end although sometimes we have to face that "get stuck" situation:

When we get stuck...

When students are not motivated
When students have no desire to learn
When students do not want to change themselves to be better

When no people will understand that
When most people say that we have failed to educate...

We still have reasons to go on with this...
Yes...GURU, we still have at least A reason...
that God will never leave us..
never and never...
That is the end and the only reason why we should stay on "this track"
be a "guru" (not only as a teacher who teaches but does not educate, motivate, etc)

Yes, we need guru in our life, as well as we need guru for our education...

With Prof. Dr. Anita Lie at SMAK Kolese Santo Yusup Malang....
took some hours of our busy time as teachers (...hhmmm...do you think you are busy enough as teachers???)
We needed it... to refresh our mind, remind us again...why we are still "here" (be a teacher)--even for any reasons..
But the most important thing is....this seminar gave us some inspiration....about things that actually we have "known" , but never really "realize" them...

A lot of things to remember and to learn, but it was good to be reminded that...
always START from the students...not from what WE-teachers, want...

Dad: Great!
Upik: But with one condition
Dad: (start thinking about the characteristics of good mom expected by his daughter.....the smiling face Kathy, the young beautiful sexy Mandy, the...)
Upik: Dad?

Upik: I want a new mom, but I don't want to have a stepmother...

So let me shout to the world
How great my gratitude to have you as my mother

your trust
to me
all the time...
that have made me this way
just the way I want...

I experienced the same problems
as kids and teenagers have at their ages
I experienced how bad our relationship
when I was so young and dull
But I know
It was not a reason to hate you
or went away from you

Only maturity
which finally led me
to find out that
it is life
and that is a mother for
by that
I appreciate more and more
what a mother can do in my life

here I am
A few of my dreams have come true, it's because of you Mom

I learned that I have to say thank you for everything I've got in this life...

to have a such person like you in my life
I can't say you just a friend of mine...cause for me you are more more more than a friend
however
I can't say you are my lover...yet...cause you don't want it--for any reasons ( I know)--
of course, one of them is, you know I am giving half of my heart for someone else that came first before you many years ago....but...where does the other half of my heart go? (answer it...you should know it...)

to have some wonderful experiences with you
to read what you have read
to listen to your nice phone call

in short....to the wide world that you have brought to me

I should not blame you AT ALL
for any reasons

The one who should be blamed is only me--
for inviting you to come to my life?
for letting you know (almost) everything IN me?
for having so much hopes, care and such very very very special feeling (that I'm afraid to say that it might be love)?
for being too true about myself?

and I think...the worst part is..
I should blame myself to let you feel happiness and (then) sadness, just let you stay in imagination only...
I know then
you deserve better hope and true love....

It would never come from a girl like me....

when he appears...
we feel so much happiness that we tell God not to let him away...again...

but,
who ever knows what God means...
until we just pass the destiny through...
try to enjoy it, reflect it....

and we will find out
the meaning of our life
and how priceless the life we have is
how priceless the people around us are
and specially
how priceless "having YOU in my life"....is

(do you often feel such a way or experienced it once?--
so....this writing may be the VOICE of many people in the world?LOL
loosing someone is hurting, huh? But can we keep the one we love with us all the time?

When you get in love...
Only two possibilities that you feel...
get happy or get hurt...

You feel you are blessed
with love and beauty of life
when the one you love
"really" love you
and stay with you
no words you can say....except...
I'm happy happy happy and ...
other million happy words coming from your lips... and heart...

You feel the pain
when what you face is only "a dream"
you can't see the one you love
you can't touch the one you love
you can't talk to the one you love
what you feel is only "miss, miss, and miss" the one you love
without knowing
whether someday you can see him/her...
and the worst part is....never knowing
the truth...
whether you are loved or not...
Yup, just like a fool...
you just live with dreaming of him/her
all the time...
you just live with imagination

or...this one is worse than the worse....
you really don't know about the one that you feel and you THINK
you are falling in love?!?!?!?!?!?!
and before you realize it....
He/she has gone.....left you...so fast
no care about how painful and hurt you are....
Feel like a fool?

But...
who can say that
love is a matter of intelligence?

When we have done something....
people often do not appreciate it
even they only talk about its negative sides
the result is....we may get discouraged or hurt....
Of course, it takes our energy much, sometimes, too much...

Why don't we start simply thinking this way....
Appreciation (by giving compliment or constructive criticism) comes only: when people UNDERSTAND what we do...
And...the vice versa
the ones who DO NOT know at all about what we do WON'T BE ABLE to give (good) appreciation to us/ our work...

So simple...
So.....you do not have to get hurt or discouraged anymore....from now on...
anytime those "do-not-know-at- all" people treat you badly/give no appreciation to you.....

Feel free to do good and useful things. Never stop doing your best and be yourselves...

Here is A love letter from your "kid", for your birthday...

I met you some years agowhen I was very very young
didn't know what to do even didn't know who I was
what I knew was....I was just nobody, knew nothing
it seemed, I was lost in this very big big world,
met wrong people anytime- anywhere...

But then you came to me....not only greeted me
you hugged me and showed me
how beautiful I was,
how beautiful the world was....
yeah, everything was beautiful for me,
after you made me think that way...beautifully.

You taught me many things...about love,
about life,
about strenght,
about honesty,
about bravery,
about being a great person,
about having a character,
about arts........
but most of all....finally, I learned.....the truth--the real life (that it's not always beautiful, or just a fake beauty--a truth or a lie---only wise heart and thought can consider it)
and before we had to part.....even you still taught me
about betrayal and wisdom at the same time... joy and pain
they are the truth
that's life
we can't deny it

yes,
how enjoyable and painful
the life that you have shown me...
I have to thank to you
because of it

I become SOMEBODY
more and more mature
stronger and stronger(hopefully)
